After years of trying to do the impossible (make a lawn from seed, turf etc) , I tried the obvious. Get grass types that actually will grown in the Spanish climate. I spent a lot of wasted time asking garden centers but all they wanted to do was sell me different seed mixtues of basically rygrass. After years of researching the possibilities of Lawns in Spain, I found three types of really spectacular grasses that will not only survive the Spanish climate, but require very little water, and are so agressive they actually thrive on the heat and choke out other weeds and grasses.
